Create a dashboard to help us by measuring our website performance. Most of the website development companies use tools to measure the performance of their product. But which tool would be the best to monitor the website performance? Google analytics, it is the best tool to measure and improve website performance. It’s already gathering the data and enable us to set cautions and make a connection amongst execution and transformations.
Measure Website Performance Using Google Analytics
The first place to look at is the Site Speed Overview on the dashboard. It is below “Behavior”- > “Site Speed”. The dashboard shows your entire website speed statistics.
Here are some fascinating details to take a gander at:
- Avg. Page Load Time: This is the primary concern to search for. It aggregates up to the client experience and incorporates the stacking of the page, rendering and content execution
- Avg. Server Response Time: Shows reaction time from the servers. It incorporates the system layer and the supported execution time.

Creating the Performance on Dashboard

Creating an email alert

The average page load time 5.43 seconds and peaks hitting 8s. We need to tell at what extent this average crosses our coveted top line, for the sake of this example we need to be notified when it achieves 8s.
To make another alert, go to the administrator tab and on the view segment, tap the custom alert choice. After you set the name, select the following;
- We need to be alarmed of oddities and suspicious behavior. Later on, You can make an alarm for longer periods
- Check the column Send Me an email and select the email address
- Under Alarm Conditions, keep the All Traffic choice
- Change the Caution me when the choice to Content-> Avg. Page Load Time (sec).
- Set the condition to “Is greater than”
- And at last set the incentive to 8
